Happy Mother’s Day
I remember how my mother had once told me that she also had her share of dreams, how she was an exceptional debater and writer and how she gave it up entirely, once she had me in her arms. I was naturally flabbergasted to hear this and asked her the reason behind such an unwise decision, afterall, what matters for a person more than his career ? Trust me, I was astonished by the firm tone in which she said that I was her priority.
That’s how mothers are; the selfless showers of love we are blessed with. No doubt, they are called the incarnation of God on this earth. This is not just the case of my mother, but of all the women out there who have made sacrifices for their children, who have put up their progeny on the top of their list of preferences, who have dealt with innumerable odds and hidden it all under the garb of their flawless smile just for the sake of their little ones.
Isn’t it astounding that they love us atruistically and have the solution to every problem. Be it the small mess created out of fight between siblings, the terrible morning situation of that school tie which always goes missing, the amount of salt to be added to cuisines, the permission for nightouts to be extracted from dad, the emotinal breakdowns and the major psychological hurricanes, they master the art of resolving all of it.
They are the ones with whom we argue over trifles( keep aside the fear of doing that with dad
), but at the end of the day, none of us can deny that it’s ultimately in their aura that we experience inner peace. Whether we realize it or not, they are our strength, the firm roots of our tree of life. Though “Khana kha lo” sounds irritating on a daily basis, its the thing one misses the most at some point of time.
How much hard we try, we can never thank them enough for all they have done for us, so let’s just do what we can, respect them and love them back, love them back so hard that it can at least be a reflection of their selfless love.
