Lockdown And Me

Lockdown And Me

I live in a small town of about 1000 inhabitants, San Giuliano di Puglia.
As in every country or city in the world, due to the coronavirus pandemic, almost all the vital flow that kept the country alive both as regards the economy and for the social life of the community stopped; overnight we found ourselves catapulted into a lifestyle to be adopted to adapt to essential rules to be respected in order to eradicate the little covid-19 being that struck and hit thousands of people leading to death.
Everything that happens in a rampant and sudden way and that you can not stem despite many studies and scientific research in qualified laboratories located in cities and universities around the world.

It is the Mayor, Peppe Ferrante, of my country that issues the decrees-laws containing regulations and rules that must be strictly respected together with the invitation – obligation to “stay at home”, “Cuidate en tu casa”, “Stay at home” which is respected the most possible even if there are many people who disregard this very useful and essential rule to live better in the future.

Around the streets we see some people who have to leave the house because they are forced to fulfill the purchases of basic necessities. Everyone has a mouth cover to avoid breathing in a direct way and risking the sneaky covid-19 creeping into the organism and leads to fight against an evil that you do not know how to defeat it, the rules of hygiene to be respected: wash your hands first, use the mask and social distancing and therefore strictly avoid gathering people.

I stayed at home as soon as i got the news of the closure of the schools thinking that if the children could not leave the house to go to their school duty it would have been appropriate for the adults also to adopt such disciplinary so I stayed at home since last March 5 Certainly in the my daily life there have been many changes that i got used to soon.

First of all, give up the activities in which I participated in the first type of group dance with my friends, singing tests and the many commitments to carry out chores in the various offices in the municipality of residence and also in neighboring countries. I went to church for Sunday mass and also for the various holidays that were suppressed.
In this long period what made me feel bad is not having had the opportunity to welcome my nephew Alessandro born on March 20, 2020 so in full covid-19 period without the warmth of the family and that I knew only after 40 days when they allowed to see relatives, since the baby was born I have seen him in photography in videos or video calls and I am very sorry but it is for his good and for all that we must live far apart and united in thought and prayer.
It helped me a lot to write poems and other activities to spread the poetic and literary culture in the world through the involvement not only of my staff but to invite to participate in poetic events and any type of art so as to create a network woven thickly of many friends, poets and poet painters, declaimers, etc., I dedicate myself to the declamation of my poems and the poetic works of friends who ask me to recite their poems and for me it is a rewarding commitment that allows me to broaden my knowledge and exchange new ideas of inspiration and of culture from other nations of the world, I entered to participate in online Krysol radio invited by the manager Manuel Antonio Rodriguez Retamal and the collaborator in the program of the esteemed talented radio conductor poet Mariella Porras Santana. Collaborating on the radio has given me the opportunity to enter the world of communication to move into new fascinating cultures and undertake studies on the peoples and the Spanish language for having received numerous invitations to the declamation in the Castilian language then embarked on the study of the language itself.

During this period only very few times I took a few walks near my house taking precautions, I went out for important services, now it is necessary to review all of the way of life of the past adapting it to the new indications that are given to us by the Prime Minister and the local authority, that is, the Mayor is the complex of the Carabinieri who supervise the population to enforce the regulations in force in the covid-19 period.

I continue to collaborate by giving my contribution in the social with my writings, by example and by doing my duty to stay at home and come out equipped with the appropriate protections with the hope that soon it will be a memory of the past this period that will go down in the history of future generations.
