CHRISTMAS EVE
This cold winter day offers
A gift – shooting and twinkling like the first star.
Joy –childish but so justified on that day,
Hope – as green as a mistletoe,
Faith which can move mountains,
But often so tiny and fragile.
And Love-always the biggest,
Although you can find it in a crib.
May at that special time
Each light lead you to something good,
Everyone be your friend,
Each word that one the most expected.
At the candlelight, catching the smell
Of the day which begins at dusk
Let’s share the deepest kindness
And the warmest thoughtfulness.
