A Letter to Father
Dearest Papa,
It’s been ages, that we had a heart to heart conversation. But, today, not just because it Father’s Day, but because you are special to me, I sat down to pour out my emotions through a letter.
I clearly remember, how you use to love me and fulfill all my wishes beforehand. I used to feel the luckiest child on the earth. But when tough time came, when you had to go through harder terrains of life, you never made us realized that what’s going on. As you where, always the same, papa, when coming home from office, listening my complains, my non stop blabbering and what not.
Slowly slowly I don’t know when and why an invisible wall started building between us and neither of us tried to break it! May be the generation gap did it work and we had difference of opinion. I think since then we started growing apart.
There were times, when I wanted to come to you, and wanted you to guide me or suggest me the way but i didn’t came. Now years later, when I am a father myself, I realize, you were the one who indirectly you use to help me out to choose the correct path sometimes via mum, via sister, via uncle or via friend.
I want to thank you for being always there for me, for giving the required strength and support in life, for guiding me, for tolerating my indiscipline, for punishing for my misbehavior, for making me a good person, for bringing out the best out of me, last but not the least for making me ME!
Yes, it’s all your efforts. I know I express my love to Mum but when it comes to you, there’s a little hesitation, a boundary is of respect or something. But today breaking that wall which grew years ago, I want to hug you, I want to tell you, you are the BEST papa in the world. You were, you are and you will be my HERO papa. I love you!
Happy Father’s Day Papa.
With Lots and lots of love
Your son.
