Life is A Dream
1.
As if I’d stepped into the world three times
Over the earth three rivers flowed
Delivering their waters to the great ocean
Their stones their sand left outside
The edge is meaning of the first river
Where in the same figure all branches meet
The wreck of a row boat smashed
Upon the rocks floats within me
The second while trying to understand its course
Dives in the mountains down into its current
Life is a Dream it says but loses its way
Within the reverie it swam, it walked through
The word of the last lies in its flow
As it catches time through its hair
The spirit of each places it passes
Drips at night down onto my knees.

“Life is a dream” and a vision lost
I am choked up watching the mind
Roaming with no place to lay its head
But it spins in joy like some bird
I look at its shadow and forget all my letters
This dream as short as the hours of evening
As long as the shadow of morning
Here is winter that thinks itself a song
Cırcling like a dog trying to bit its tale
But I only want to fly like snow
Snow that has nothing but its wings
This poem leaves my poverty behind
The knot in my throat loosens
In my body a dream life nests
In my body the feast the birds celebrate.
